Rate of pay is £10.46 per hour, rising to £11.25 per hour after 12 working weeksManufacturing, assembling and repairing precision components for use on production jigs and fixtures,m you will be reporting direct to the Toolroom ManagerMain Tasks: Machining operations to include Milling, Turning, Grinding, Drilling and fabricationYou will require some or all of the following skills:Milling, drilling, boring and turning.Manufacture of precision components.Assembly of componentsRepair of existing fixturesProve out tooling with customer.Maintenance of machinery on and off site at other JCB Divisions.General tool making tasks.Experience: Ideally have recent experience of working in a machine shop / tool making environment.Technical Skills: Ability to use manual and NC controlled machinery. Ability to read engineering drawings. An Apprenticeship in appropriate engineering fieldDesirable Experience: Health and Safety qualification (IOSH)Person Skills: Have a good work ethic, has an eye for detail and accuracy, and can work with on own initiative.Complete tasks in a timely manner.Able to organise workload to ensure that multiple projects can be progressed in the most efficient manner.Enthusiastic and keen to learn.Punctual and reliable (will check references from previous employers if possible).Good communication skills.To apply for this position, please upload your CV in response to this advertGuidant is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
