Job Description

Trainer / Practitioner - Restorative ApproachesLocation: Cardiff, CF24 3ADSalary: £28,350 per annumContract: Permanent, Full TimeWe are Wales Restorative Approaches Partnership and we are recruiting. We are seeking a Trainer / Practitioner with experience of Restorative Approaches to join our small, friendly team based in the centre of Cardiff.The role is diverse and you will be responsible for delivering high quality training alongside delivering restorative practice work, across Wales. The role will involve some travel and the occasional overnight stay.We are currently offering a mix of face-to-face and online services therefore you will need excellent I.T. skills including Zoom and Teams experience.As our Trainer / Practitioner, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high quality training, both face to face and on-line
  • Day to day management of practice cases including complex and sensitive cases
  • Monitoring and evaluating training and practice activities
  • Updating the My RJ Case Management system
  • Health & Safety (in the capacity of Operational lead - training will be provided if required)
  • Working with the Lead Trainer to plan and deliver training to internal staff
  • Ensuring regular supervision sessions are carried out commensurate to the activities being delivered
  • Contributing to project work as directed by the Lead Trainer and the Senior Leadership Team
  • Ensuring best practice guidelines are adhered to including RJC standards
  • Undertaking any other duties, as required, appropriate to the post
In order to be successful in this role, you must have experience of:
  • Restorative Justice and Restorative Approaches casework
  • Working restoratively
  • Being a qualified Trainer / Facilitator / Teacher, with the ability to deliver face to face and on-line
  • Working with complex and sensitive cases and experience of working with individuals dealing with trauma
  • Working towards Restorative Justice Council (RJC) quality marks and standards
  • Working with diverse communities
  • I.T. systems including Outlook, Word, Excel, Zoom and Microsoft Teams, to an excellent standard
