Job Description

Support WorkerRoath, Cardiff (CF24)37.5 hour pw (Some sleep-ins are required) | £8.30 hourlyFancy a job where you can be a superhero without having to wear a capeEver thought of becoming a Support WorkerWe are looking for a dedicated and caring Support Worker to join our friendly care team in Roath, Cardiff.You will be working 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis, this role requires sleep-ins.You don’t need to haveexperience in Health and Social Care, but you do need to be passionate about what you do and show compassion and kindness towards the People we Support.Staff support people through a person centred plan, tailored towards individual needs and focused on positive outcomes. People are supported to make individualised choices in all aspects of day to day life through support that promotes choice and sets goals. Individuals will be supported to take part in meaningful activities that enrich their lives and build on skills. Staff are available 24 hours a day including waking night staff when required.Does this sound like something you could doYour duties will include:

  • Supportingindividuals to plan and engage in activities in line with their individualised activity planner, which could include holidays, social events, religious and sporting activities, education and employment.
  • Maintain the general health, wellbeing and emotional needs of the People we Support.
  • Encouragingindividuals to access a range of opportunities and experiences.
  • Supportingindividuals to keep in contact with family and friends, and to participate in social and community activities.
