Job Description

** Waking Night Support Worker **** Permanent; 37.5 hours per week **** Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire **** E 7am - 3pm or 7am - 1pm or 7am - 2pm / L 2pm - 9pm or 2pm - 10pm or 3pm - 9pm **** Rolling rota **** Adults with moderate to severe learning difficulties, Autism and Epilepsy, Dementia care, stroke, verbal and nonverbal **BS Social Care are currently recruiting for 2 Waking Night Support Workers for an adult`s residential home within Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire looking for candidates that have the values and passion for helping others.About the company; they are charity that support people with learning disabilities, autism, brain injuries and complex needs. They are passionate about ensuring they give the best possible care to their residents and provide a happy environment for both the service users and staff.About the role; you will be working with adults of mixed sex who have moderate to severe Learning Difficulties, Autism and Epilepsy and more. Your typical day would include; hand over, supporting the service users get up washed, dressed and get ready for day centre, shopping or activities. You will complete paper work and keep care plans up to date. You will be a Key Worker, or a Link Worker so expect to be responsible for a particular service user including arranging their activities/medication and have everything then need to receive the best possible care. You will assist in picking them up from day centre and providing personal and helping with dinner, then get ready for the evening. This role is very hands on due to the service users needing physical support with personal care and meals to ensure they have the best quality of life possible.About the ideal candidate; it is not essential that you have experience, but it is essential that you empathise and are compassionate towards the residents of the home and interested in the role for the right reasons. We need candidates that have the right values and understanding of the needs of the service users you`re working with by building a professional relationship and being a friend as well as their carer. If you do not hold any relevant qualifications, you will have to complete the care certificate and be willing to work towards gaining extra qualifications.
