Job Description

Senior AccountantLocation: HertfordshireSalary: Up to £60,000paSRM are delighted to be partnering with one of the UKs leading construction companies, based in the Hertfordshire Head Office.Are you a Senior Qualified Accountant ready for their next move You will lead and support a team to ensure an efficient standardised processes are in place to enable governance, reporting and accuracy of financial information. You will be managing a teamof Accountants and Assistant Accountants to manage revenue and costings.Key Responsibilities:- Mobilise and lead a new team structure to deliver the following:

  • Management of revenue
  • Management of costings
  • Provide strong support to members of the finance team ensuring they are equipped with correct financial information
  • Lead and develop the team, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge and capability to deliver an efficient and collaborative service
  • Work collaboratively with members of the finance team
  • Support the BU wide initiative to manage and control S&A costs
  • Support the team in the delivery of the team responsibilities
  • Deliver detailed responsibilities as listed in the finance taxonomy
Essential Criteria:
  • ERP system knowledge, Oracle Fusion preferable
  • A thorough and up-to-date knowledge of financial and management accounting practices and experience of practical application of this in an ERP environment
  • Detailed and analytical
  • Customer focused
