Planning Validation OfficerRickmansworth, UKSalary: £24,439 to £25,880 per annum inclusive of London weightingContract: PermanentHours: Up to 37 hours per week. Requests for part-time or flexible working will be considered.Office Location: Three Rivers House, Northway, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. However, regular home workingwill be expected.Closing Date: 9 February 2022Overview:The Development Management department at Three Rivers District Council is offering a permanent Planning Officer position within its Development Management team. Staffand ICT are central to our continuing success.On the fringe of London, the District is experiencing significant development pressure, with a huge variety of planning application types and sizes. The District has a varied built and natural environment including 22 conservation areas, numerous listed buildingsand a large number of designated wildlife sites. Much of the District is within the Metropolitan Green Belt and part is within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We promote the highest standards of design through negotiation and proactive work.Skills and Experience:The role includes the responsibility for the validation of planning and related applications and the provision of technical support as required to support the function of the Department, including assisting with the processing of planning and related applications.The role will require strong verbal, written and presentation skills and candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability and initiative to handle a diverse and competing workload and work to tight deadlines.
