JS223 – Digital RF DSP EngineerLocation:Rickmansworth, LondonSalary:£65,000 - £85,000Overview:First Military Executive Recruitment is pleased to be supporting one of our established clients with their recruitment for a Digital RF DSP Engineer.As part of a small team within the engineering department, to specify, develop and design a new range of cutting edge digital IF distribution products.Working as a part of a small team, reporting to the Engineering Manager. The role will suit someone with a strong background in digital signal processing and a working knowledge of communications systems engineering. You will probably have worked in software radio, or related discipline. A pragmatic approach to the implementation of such equipment is essential, along with a solid understanding of real-world constraints. You will be responsible for implementing communications signal processing algorithms such as DDCs, filters, FFTs etc. efficiently in FPGA, probably in VHDL. You will have a strong understanding of wideband sampling, and techniques to mitigate impairments caused by it. You will take the algorithm requirements, implement and test against a system model. You will have excellent math’s skills, and a desire to push the boundaries of algorithm performance.Duties and Responsibilities:
