Job Description

What is great about the roleMartins Close is centred on the inclusion and engagement of the people we support, with the goal to enable them to live independently in their own tenancy. You would be essential in providing the housing related, practical and emotional support needed toenable this positive move on. Martins Close also offers excellent space for you to co-ordinate and facilitate activities to support our clients development with money management skills, health & wellbeing, tenancy management skills, training, employment,and mental health.Key Information:

  • We are recruiting for a part time post (24 hours)
  • The scheme is covered 24 hours, 7 days a week so you would be expected to work on a 6-week rolling rota which would involve: sleep ins, weekdays and weekends.
  • For this role you will require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.
  • It is essential to have a full drivers licence and access to your own vehicle for this role.
Day to Day Duties: As a Scheme Support Officer, you will work alongside the Project Workers.Your day will consist of:
  • Engaging and interacting with the people we support
  • Delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing
  • Welfare checks
  • Organising and participating in day trips
  • Maintenance checks such as health & safety, fire safety
  • Cleaning as required
  • Addressing any additional needs, the people we support might have
Our motivation is to ensure we equip the people we support with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substancemisuse and offending behaviour.
