Continuous Improvement Lead£35,000 - £45,000 NewportYolk Recruitment is exclusively managing a new opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Lead to join the flagship UK arm of a global manufacturing business that provides industrial technology services and solutions to critical industries around the world.The UK manufacturing operation is leading the way in developing a continuous improvement framework that is delivering results and will be the foundation for future lean and CI activities in other locations. Youll join a CI team and be the CI lead in a definedarea of the business, responsible for strategic and project based improvement activities, and the day to day development and implementation of tools and strategies in your area.This is an exiting role with variety, opportunity to make a significant impact and reward, with a team of experienced colleagues that allows for responsibility, autonomy and collaborative support. With all eyes on South Wales and the exposure that this rolewill bring, youll be well placed to make the most of career development opportunities that arise in a business achieving ambitious growth plans.This is what youll be doing as Continuous Improvement Lead

  • Develop more efficient ways to utilise people, machinery, materials, information and energy to provide a product or service
  • Work with other departments to identify, address and eliminate process related obstacles
  • Utilise mapping techniques to design optimal information, material and production flow methods
  • Act as a change agent to bring about improvements in process through the active support, participation and leadership of Rapid Improvement / Kaizen events
  • Coach employees on Continuous Improvement and provide training specific to lean transformation tools and methodology
  • Carry out cycle time analysis, time studies, work balance/flow improvements, workplace analysis and improvement activities
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of all visual performance tools
The experience youll bring to the team
  • Experience in a process improvement or continuous improvement role in manufacturing.
  • Experience deploying lean tools, leading CI/process improvement projects
  • Demonstrable experience leading the use of problem-solving tools
  • Ability to energise, motivate and lead teams
