Job Description

To support Gressingham’s Annual Christmas Campaign, we are recruiting for 2 new weighbridge operatives. Both these positions are on a temporary contract with the opportunity of a full-time position at the end of the campaign in the same role or another within the Company.LOCATION: REDGRAVE SITEREPORTING TO: EV MANAGEMENTWORKING HOURS: Dayshift position 05:00am to 16:00pmNightshift position 16:00pm to 03:00amWORKING DAYS: 6 (Monday to Saturday)TEMPORARY CONTRACT DATES: 6TH NOV TO 18TH DEC (6TH Nov Training day) to start work on the 9th NovemberRESPONSIBILITIES:-- Filling in the weighbridge sheet, split weighing not allowing driver to proceed unless paperwork is correct- Ensuring ATC are correct in accordance with the kill- Scanning in all paper work for each batch delivered to the factory back to the farms office- Freedom foods transport sheets and journey times to be added onto farm spreadsheetsTransbonus sheetAs the above duties have significant times between each lorry delivery, additional tasks will involve working with the Security/Social Distancing Manager to ensure:-- Staff car parks are kept clear of any rubbish- Social distancing is maintained in outside areas of the factory- Support the H&S team in ensuring shift changeover (car park) goes smoothly and does not hinder the lorries arriving on site- Any other additional duties that may be required to support social distancing and securitySKILLS REQUIRED:-- Ability to use excel- Clear handwriting skills- Numerate- Ability to get on with all levels of management- Good Communication skills- Ability to work under pressure- Able to analyse dataAll other training raining will be provided.CURRENT BASIC RATE: £8.75p per hour/day shift£9.00p per hour/night shift
