* Maintenance* Precision Manufacturing* Day ShiftSenior Engineer (Permanent)Industrial Manufacturing Environment£22 per hour (Circa £48,000 per annum)Redditch based business. The purpose of this role is to lead shifts within specialist maintenance function that aspires to achieve industry-leading Operational Equipment Efficiencies (OEE).The role is accountable for ensuring reactive and preventative maintenance works are completed efficiently enabling the business to meet our customer commitments.This role supports the continuous improvement of our process and engineering resolutions to complex, multi-disciplined challenges.The Core Duties * Leading the maintenance team, directly liaising with manufacturing operations to deliver a comprehensive plant maintenance function.* Developing relationships with subcontractors and OEM support technicians to create a wide skill base of readily available labour.* Managing critical spares stocks and budgets, working closely with suppliers to ensure availability.* Ensure a safe risk-averse culture is embedded within the team, championing best practice at every opportunity.* Develop the maintenance team members with significant consideration to skill gap analysis, career development and succession planning.* Ensure processes are compliant with statutory and customer requirements.The Person * Multi-skilled engineer with significant experience in a heavy manufacturing environment with a range of legacy and state-of-the-art plant.* Apprentice-qualified or equivalent professional accreditations* Experience with high heat-high pressure equipment and the challenges these present to PPM.* Experience leading a developing team through a transformation period to become a high-performing unit.* A champion of team member development with experience in creating attainable progression and training plans.* Effective and confident communicator with experience in presenting technical proposals to a diverse population of colleagues.Other* 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.* Pension scheme* Employee discount programme where employees can save on average £1,000 a year on everyday purchases.
