Job Description

Senior Analyst/Data ScientistSalary: £50,000 to £65,000 per annum, based on experience.Our client is a leading Professional Services Organisation, supporting numerous local authorities and large transport services around the country. With three businesses merged in the last 24 months, entering the next phase of theirjourney, leveraging combined data power for business transformation.If youre passionate about deriving insights from data, using statistical models to drive performance, and building a data-driven culture, this role is for you.Responsibilities:

  • Support the insight and data team in enhancing business performance.
  • Provide insights for operational discussions and regular reporting.
  • Develop modeling and machine learning approaches.
  • Deliver regular reports for data-led measurement of commercial activities.
  • Support a business-wide operational change program using data.
Your Role:
  • Develop and implement statistical and machine learning models for key decisions.
  • Generate insights for strategic initiatives and performance understanding.
  • Maintain awareness of key operational metrics.
  • Analyze debtor behavior and provide actionable insights.
  • Document and present analytics to non-technical audiences.
  • Assist in the structural development of data and reporting.
Your Experience:
  • Strong numerical skills, degree or equivalent.
  • Essential: SQL or Python, Advanced Excel, experience in statistical models and machine learning in business.
  • Desirable: PowerBI, Tableau, Databricks, Alteryx.
  • Advantageous: Experience in data wrangling within Microsoft Azure and Alteryx.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize tasks.
  • Effective communication of insights to key business partners.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively.
