Title: Technical Sales Support EngineerLocation: Redditch Offices.Hours: 08:45-17:00 Mon-Thurs., 08:45-16:00 Fri.Leave entitlement: 23 days plus statutory bank holidays.Salary expectation: £35KReporting to: Director of sales and business development.Availability of Role: NowRequirements: Technically Qualified to min HNC in a discipline associated with Telecommunications. Proven knowledge of Radio Communications technologies and deployment of such systems. Ideally and knowledgeable with DMR, Conventional and other key current radio technologies. Highly familiar with Distributed Antenna Systems, combining and RF surveying. Good clear documentation skills and ability to work within a team and author technical input of proposal documentation. Good customer communications and presentation skills. Full licence, as, may be required to attend clients or support sales staff at clients with surveys or scope extraction to aid and support of proposals or BID processes. Good knowledge and capability with Windows OS and office products namely Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio.Role, Responsibilities and Objectives: Not limited to but principally, to work within a team of sales support staff (sales Hub) with limited technical knowledge of advanced radios systems, application layers and supporting radio infrastructure or services. To support that team and remove the need for other seniors to oversee. Production of proposals /BID /RFQ’s /RFP’s as example, any technical content required with costings. To design where needed such systems and test through the business such designs, moderate with others their works (approve), validate such work to ensure control mechanisms are managed and any submitted technical content is tested and correct before submission.To attend sites / clients as requested with any team or staff member supporting surveys or scoping exercises in order to gain / extract required scope for costing and proposals made.To attend any Training as required in order to gain knowledge by formal or informal training in order to be capable in meeting objectives where knowledge is slight or not to required depth.To support the team with technical support questions when required.Able to perform RF path loss, link calculations in order to support or argument designs of DAS (active or passive) elements for solutions at a design stage for proposal.Work and understand the business portfolio of LMR, Marine, Avionic and LOS link solutions and requirements of systems in order to be competent in obtaining from, or, educating clients so that any delivered project meets or exceeds expectations of the end user and avoiding errors that latterly could be disruptive or have negative commercial consequences.To work with sales team and produce handover documents to delivery team with content that enables the operational side of the business to deliver a project successfully and the move into BAU support post-delivery.Where required to Project manage or act as a deputy to Project Manager is assisting with project deliveries / deliverable given high workloads or absence.
