Job Title: Prep WorkerLocation: RedditchSalary: £11.50 per hourWorking Hours: 07:30 - 16:30 (Monday - Thursday), 07:00-12:30 (Friday)Main Responsibilities:-Take the lead in producing materials for the welding/fabrications department-Set up and operate various machines in the preparation section after receiving appropriate training.-Ensure all jobs are fully prepared and ready for handover to the next department.-Conduct daily preventative maintenance checks on machines and equipment.-Organise and store all delivered materials in designated areas.-Assist with repairs as needed.-Report any non-conforming items or practices to the Team Leader.-Adhere to current quality operating procedures.-Follow proper machine usage protocols, including turning off machines when not in use.-Communicate effectively across departments to ensure timely product delivery and inform teams of any potential delays.Requirements:-Solid understanding of how a prep area functions.-Numerate and literate with clear communication skills, able to interpret measurements.-Strong attention to detail and accuracy.-Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.-Completion of an apprenticeship or worked in a similar environment-First Aid, Fire Marshal, or FLT license would be desirable.This presents an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.
