Job Description

Maintenance Engineer£20 to £22 plus BenefitsRedditchManufacturingA growing FMCG manufacturing company are looking for an electrically bias Maintenance Engineer to work a permanent night shift. Working within the Engineering team you will be responsible for conducting routine and reactive maintenance on fast paced productionmachinery, also facilities maintenance. You will be an apprentice trained electrically bias Engineer with experience working within a fast paced manufacturing environment.Shift Option Wednesday - Friday - 17.30pm - 06.00amAs a Maintenance Engineer your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.

  • Reporting into the Maintenance Coordinator you will be responsible for maintaining all the plant, equipment, buildings and related infrastructure.
  • Ensure that machinery is ready for use at start up, support where needed.
  • Conduct maintenance, repairs, improvements and developments are undertaken safely, efficiently, effectively and at minimum cost across all aspects of the sites equipment, processes, site services and buildings.
  • Ensure that contractors under engineering control follow instructions correctly in order to minimise risk of health and safety and environmental incidents.
  • Develop, modify and improve maintenance procedures in line with manufacturers recommendations and the knowledge of group and site experience.
  • Assist with process and production to continuously improve operations, safety and to minimise waste and energy.
  • Effective communication with Production and Quality. Work closely and meet regularly with team leaders and managers from operations to understand their needs and objectives.
  • Update maintenance records and relevant documentation are kept up to date and retrievable for internal use.
  • Liaise with production and quality staff to ensure that any engineering activities on equipment, with the risk of affecting, quality, or legality, is checked for satisfactory completion.
  • Recommend continuous improvement methods to improve and enhance the service provided.
An exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer with the following.
  • HNC or Apprentice trained Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias.
  • Previous experience working within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read schematics drawing and mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Confident in fault finding on PLCs, HMIs and robotics.
  • A background of mechanical maintenance and working with hydraulics, pneumatics and drives.
  • Positive thinking and self-motivated individual with good communication skills.
  • Happy to work a permanent night shift.
