Job Description

HSE Manager (Chemical Manufacturing)Redditch£37,000 - £44,000 + ongoing training & development + progression + company benefits packageAre you a Health and Safety Manager or similar, looking to progress your career with an award-winning chemical manufacturer, where you will be in a highly autonomous, hands on role, with the opportunity to directly add value to a market leading organisationDo you have your NEBOSH, looking to join an innovative and well established group, within a newly created role which you can make your own, within cutting edge manufacturing facilities, forming an integral part of a vibrant and dynamic teamThe company are experts in creating, developing and manufacturing cosmetic products for over 600 international brands within the Health and Beauty sectors. They pride themselves on their technical ingenuity, and ability to continually improve upon theirproducts through and onsite R&D / Scientific team.You will be the go-to person for all Health & Safety matters, within a hands-on, versatile role. You will work closely with Senior Mangers to advise the business on all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental, with a large portion of your time also beingspent within the manufacturing plant to continually improve upon current H&S standards. You will develop existing processes and procedures, as well as putting in place new standards, training and systems.The role:

  • Undertake inspections across the manufacturing plant, to ensure compliance, and identify, remedy any HSE issues
  • Complete and review risk assessments (COSHH) for all work equipment and operations
  • Assess current HSE processes and procedures, continually improving and developing new standards to ensure compliance
  • Lead continuous improvement for HSE function, including training and coaching of manufacturing staff
  • Accident investigations
The person:
  • Health & Safety Manager, Coordinator or similar
  • Experience within manufacturing (ideally chemical or related)
