Today, the Company has combined sales ofjust over JPY 629 billion, with manufacturing operations in 28 countries, sales in 130 countries, and employs some 27,000 people worldwide.Here at Pilkington, we’re now seeking a Forklift Truck (FLT) Operator to unload customer pallets, unload stores deliveries and back load empty returns if required. You will remove old labels from pallets returned, check for external damage and quarantineif required, and stack accordingly in dedicated aisles. Supporting with the loading / un-loading of FLT gas when deliveries arrive, you will complete annual container audits and Nissan outbound tracker, as well as act as a banksman for vehicles in the yard.We’re looking for someone who has proven experience of a warehouse / distribution environment - someone who understands the operations involved, specifically the safe operation of forklift trucks. With good written and verbal communication skills, you willhave knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel applications and be able to use initiative to manage and prioritise daily workloads. You’ll be a good team player with a strong customer focus. Naturally, a FLT licence is a pre-requisite.The role will work on a rotating shift pattern;Shift 1: Monday - Thursday, 06:00 until 14:00 and Friday, 06:00 until 12:00Shift 2: Monday - Thursday, 12:00 until 20:00 and Friday, 12:00 until 18:00Salary & Benefits
