A hugely successful manufacturing company are looking for an experienced CNC Lathe setter to join their expanding team. With a really low staff turnover, theyre seeking a committed machinist with a stable career history and strong work ethic. The site itselfis a modern manufacturing facility equipped with a wide range of CNC, conventional and special purpose machinery.Benefits include an hourly rate of up to £14 p/h, overtime after basic hours paid at Time & 1/3 Weekday, Time &Saturday, 28 days holiday, company pension and various other perks!This position is working a permanent day shift Monday to Thursday 39hrs per weekThe Role - - Setting and operating various 2 & 3 axis Turning Lathes with FANUC controls - Calling up pre written programmes, editing and modifying to then prove out - Full setup including tooling, material, speeds and feeds- Running a first off for inspection using measuring equipment, before final pass off from QC dept- Working from customer drawings, CAD designs and job route cards- Producing small to large batch parts from stainless, copper, brass, gun metals and other materialsTo be successful in this role you will have - - Proven background in setting and operating CNC Lathes- A strong knowledge of editing and setting up using FANUC controls- Experience machining a wide range of materials in small and large quantities- Flexibility towards overtime as and when requiredIn addition to the formal package the company promote a friendly environment where all members of the team support each other in terms of hitting production targets, along with strict COVID measures, including a well spaced out machine shop to ensure allstaff are safe whilst working.Please note, if your application is suitable, one of our consultants will call you within 5 working days.
