Job Description

Business Improvement Engineer / CI Engineer - Permanent - Aerospace - South BirminghamAre you a Business Improvement Engineer / CI Engineer experienced driving, initiating and facilitating change programmes / business improvements If so, a Midlands based organisation who design, manufacture, and assemble precision forgedand machined components are looking for you!As the Business Improvement Engineer / CI Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the business in the delivery of sustainable improvements in key areas of Product Quality, Delivery and all other business transactional processesThe Business Improvement Engineer / CI Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving / initiating / facilitating change programmes / business improvements in the organisation impacting the bottom line
  • Performance metrics / Targets / Transparency
  • Route to Excellence
  • Focused Improvement Projects
  • Lead programme
  • Coaching / guiding leaders
  • Tools & Technique consultants
  • Leading / driving complex quality resolution programmes
  • Supporting the business in leading Major Investment Change Projects
  • Value stream mapping key business systems and process to identify waste and NVA
  • Coordinating project improvements, focused programmes through ideas generation.
  • Relentless in the application and adherence to process and standards
  • Internal business results-based consultants
Skills required or the Business Improvement Engineer / CI Engineer:
  • Degree / HNC qualification in Engineering, Management, and/or Materials (Preferred but not essential) or equivelent expereince
  • 6 Sigma trained to Greenbelt or Black belt Level advantage
  • Capable lean agent
  • Industrial Engineering Experience would be an advantage
  • Proven track record as a leader of change within a results-based portfolio
  • Proven track record with a successful portfolio of achievements
