Job Description

On an exclusive basis, greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a No.1 Financial Controller to work with a growing construction business based in Redditch. This role has the opportunity to progress to Finance Director with the business within five years.Reporting into the Directors, duties of the role will include:

  • Managing and developing a small team
  • Overall responsibility for the accounts function of the business
  • Financial reporting and statutory accounts production
  • Controlling the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Developing and reviewing future plans to aid with strategic growth
  • Liaising with auditors, banks and other external parties
  • Managing cashflow by tracking applications for payment and transactions and regular monitoring/ review of internal reports
  • Provide timely and accurate management information for discussion with the senior team
  • Continuous improvement of reporting/ management accounts process
  • Supporting the Directors with ad hoc requests to improve the business
Skills, Requirements, Qualifications
  • Qualified or Qualified By Experience
  • Construction/ Civil Engineering Experience
  • Experience in an FM/ FC role
  • Strong hands on experience as well as commercial
  • Excellent Excel skills and ERP experience - Redsky would be an advantage
  • Strong stakeholder and staff management skills
