Water is essential to life, so our business is always open.What you’ll be doingWe have a new opening for a Revenue Reporting Analyst to assist with accurately budgeting, forecasting, and reporting wholesale revenues and related financial performance at month-end.Working closely with the Revenue Reporting Manager you will be supporting with annual auditing activities.You, the Revenue Reporting Analyst will be assisting with validation of settlement outcomes to support the explanation of financial and reporting outcomes.Being the Revenue Reporting Analyst in this position will see you:

  • Run and consolidate monthly wholesale information for Revenue and Cash and engages finance and other stakeholders including the Thames Tideway Tunnel to communicate performance
  • Maintain and run budgeting and demand forecasting tools to inform future revenue performance and trends
  • Support the annual Revenue and Cash budgeting process, undertaking a bottom-up approach to the budgeting process to recommend and agree a revenue budget for primary, inset, non-primary and other income
You will be critical to apply commercial acumen to financial and operational source data to identify revenue, billing, cash and debt issues, and agrees on appropriate action with stakeholders e.g. unbilled accounts and other operational process issues.What you should bring to the roleIt is envisaged that appointed Revenue Reporting Analyst will be educated to degree level or equivalent, or experience ideally in a revenue environment with strong numerical and analytical skills to a high degree of accuracy, with an eye foridentifying trends
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, most notably an advanced user in Excel, with experience of creating and operating simple and complex data models
  • Intermediate SQL skills (ideally with familiarity of Microsoft Azure syntax)
  • Strong commercial awareness and mindset, with the ability to make logical and well thought out decisions
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal with previous experience presenting to findings senior management
