Rainhill High is a popular school in the Prescot area who have a unique opportunity for 4 full-timeCover Supervisor from September 2024 to fill in for the absences of usual class teachers. This position is ideal for those who are thinking of going into Teaching but would like some first-hand, paid experience before committing to a PGCE for example. However,successful Cover Supervisors have previously included - Sports Coaches, HLTAs, University Students, Semi-Retired Teachers and many other people switching from other industries who have a passion for education and/or experience working with young people.Responsibilities:- Taking the register in the absence of the usual class teacher.- Delivering pre-set work which the teacher has left for the students to be getting on with.- Managing behaviour within the classroom to ensure students remain on task.Requirements:- A passion for education and working with young people.- Previous experience of being responsible for a group of young people.- A DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).Benefits:- Opportunities for this to lead to something longer-term and more permanent.- Free CPD to enhance your skills.- Excellent experience if you are considering a career in teaching.Please apply now or call The Supply Register for more information.
