Job Description

Premier Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a well-established and international organisation based in Rainham, Essex to recruit a Quality Auditor to join their team. This is a full-time and permanent role.Working pattern: Day shiftSunday, Wednesday & Thursday (1st week)Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday (2nd week)6:00am - 18:15pmMain Responsibilities:Job Overview/PurposeThis role ensures that production standards are met and maintained for a given product before it leaves the site. Positive release of all batches using software programs. Inspections samples from a production lines to confirm acceptable quality status. TheQuality Auditor also monitors all events on a production shift and shares findings with relevant departments.Main Duties

  • Daily process sheets for each product run
  • Raw material concessions
  • Printing daily ECS & Yokogawa graphs
  • Daily Clearance sign off sheet and verification of production records
  • Daily Sensory
  • JDE release and physical release of pallets
  • Setting up and reading Ellab loggers
  • pH testing D+1 (when needed for new products)
  • Temperature checks of Ishida, freezers, chillier and all fridges and incubators
  • Setting up samples for marketing sensory
  • Completion of non-conformances
  • Completion of raw material non-conformances and correspondence with suppliers
  • Carrying out tensile testing and burst testing of pouches
  • Checking raw materials deliveries and receipting them on JDE
  • Glass and hard plastic audits
  • Sending ingredients, water or finished product for micro testing or nutritional analysis
  • Raising POs for purchases/analysis work
  • DMR seriousness/supplier spend and responses figures/charts
  • Managing held stock (finished product and raw materials) updating spreadsheet with this information.
  • Internal balance and temperature probe calibrations
  • Collating and managing control samples for marketing sensory
Experience:
  • Degree in the Sciences, Food safety and HACCP awareness and preferably some experience in QA roles
  • Good IT Skills (Microsoft Office programmes; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), web-based programmes & data management systems
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Passion for food, food safety and food quality standards
  • Be methodical in your approach with keen attention to detail.
  • Have strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to analyse data and solve problem.
  • Organised with the ability to plan and prioritise different tasks.
