Job Description

Joining their team means becoming part of a close-knit community of waste management professionals who are passionate about recyclingand sustainability.Sharp Skips, is a thriving family-run waste disposal company based in Rainham, Essex, and they are currently on the lookout for two skilled and dedicated Shovel / 360 Machine Handlers to join their dynamic team.Your Role:As a Shovel / 360 Machine Handler at Sharp Skips, youll be at the forefront of operations.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the machines.
  • Conducting daily inspections to identify any defects.
  • Prioritizing safety for yourself and your fellow team members on-site.
  • Maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of the machines.
  • Reporting any issues with the equipment to management promptly.
What Theyre Looking For:While experience is a plus, they value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn just as much. Heres what theyre seeking from their ideal candidate:
  • Minimum of 3 years of machine operation experience (desirable but not essential).
  • Valid 360 machine operator ticket.
  • Valid Shovel machine operator ticket.
  • First aid certification (desirable but not essential).

Work Schedule:
  • Hours: 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
  • Overtime: Any hours worked outside the regular schedule, including Saturdays.
  • Hourly Rate: £15.75, with overtime paid at time and a half (£23.65).
