Job Description

Finance DirectorOur client is a successful business thats part of a leading, £1bn, European KBB supplier focussed on design and sustainability. It enjoys strong brand heritage, credibility and loyal people and is looking to make a step change in terms of growth of Consumer,Trade and Projects market share in the next stage of its transformational journey.The MD is now looking to appoint a Finance Director to be strategic commercial finance partner for the executive leadership team to help to build an organisation that can optimise its financial and commercial potential, performance and drive through thelevel of change required to deliver sustainable strategic and profitable growth.Playing a pivotal and integral role to the success of the business in the next 3-5 years, your key responsibilities as Finance Director will include:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver all commercial objectives - Sales, EBIT, Tender and Lead indicators, business cases and return on investment; across short, medium and long term horizons engendering a commercial and data driven approach to decisionsand actions
  • Providing transparency through reporting and insight to give confidence around strength of growth plans and delivery of results
  • Delivering action plans to ensure that monthly, quarterly and annual financial objectives are achieved in a sustainable way supporting the growth objectives of the business - incorporating risks and opportunities management
  • Challenging and recommending initiatives and actions supported by experience, industry and market trends, competition and wider economy to create opportunities and manage risk
  • Leading the annual budget planning and commercial business, ensuring correct governance
  • Effective leadership and management of the finance team, systems and processes
As Finance Director youll need:
  • A people-oriented approach with an outstanding record of encouraging, initiating and delivering improvement and profitable growth within a related or same sector gained in a lead Finance role - Finance Director, Head of Finance, Financial Controller, SeniorFinance Business Partner or similar
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Comprehensive understanding of tax
  • A strategic thought process
  • Exceptional staff management and motivation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding project management skills
  • Evidence of networking capability at senior levels
  • Proven ability of working under pressure
  • Strong IT skills
