As the Science Lead, you will havewhole-academy responsibility for this subject area and will develop and reviewthe Maths curriculum on offer at Leigh Academy Rainham. Applications arewelcomed from experienced teachers who are seeking to take on extraresponsibility. As a start-up school this role will grow as our numbersincrease, with the possibility of promotion to a Director of Learning positionfor the right candidate in the future. The role is offered on a full-time,permanent basis with an initial TLR of £2,873 based on the school opening withonly Year 7 in its first year. Due to the key role all new staff will play inshaping the learning community and experiences for our young people, pleaseshare with us in your personal statements any additional hobbies, talents andinterests you may have that you could use to broaden our extra-curricularoffer. We are looking to provide a variety of clubs and activities for pupilsto access from year one for example chess, sports, choir, dance, gaming, Ecoclubs, origami, media, journalism and astronomy or anything additional you canthink of! We are also looking to offer an appropriatefinancial incentive for a teacher with the appropriate skills and experiencesto take on a Head of Pastoral role for year 7. This would initially be a fixedterm, opportunity for one year which would be set for review the followingyear.
