MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:1. Setting and operating of CNC lathes, vertical machining centres and horizontal machining centres with Fanuc & Mazatrol controls, conventional machines as and when required (Drills, capstan lathes, fly press etc), ensuring cycle times and outputs are achievedto the correct quality standard, report failings.2. Complete detailed quality checks against dimensional drawings using measuring equipment, verniers, micrometers and gauges etc, Pass off 1st off approvals for production run and log and record all measurements on the relevant check sheets.3. Program transfers from and to the DNC computer system. Fanuc controlled CNC lathe machines machining Brass bar. Set machines as requested and ensure that cycle times achieve the quality and output standards required 4. Recognise and report exceptional requirements or shortfalls for parts and components.5. Train and develop new team members to the standard required.6. Maintain a clean, safe working environment, be responsible for good housekeeping and ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards.7. Maintain good communications and relationships throughout the company.8. Ensure compliance with company procedures and make suggestions for improvement.9.
