Senior Support WorkerAre you an experienced Support Worker, patient, fun and have a great sense of humour Our client is looking for an exceptional individual to support a 26 year-old lady with a learning disability, within her own home.Position: Senior Support Worker Location: Mildenhall and Bury St Edmunds Job type: Permanent (guaranteed hours)Hours: Full time and part time available Salary: £10.27 per hourFull induction process, outstanding training opportunities, development and career progression, opportunities to gain recognised qualifications, free DBS screening, flexible working.About the role:The role of a Senior Support Worker is to ensure the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.Supporting someone with a learning disability isnt just personal care; its so much more. A Senior Support Worker will do everything from taking the people supported to swimming to helping administer the right medication. They will also mentor Support Workers and assist with the overall health and safety.This is a rewarding role and no two days will be the same. However, you will need to be the sort of person who can take things in your stride, remain calm and be confident in dealing with sometimes difficult situations.About you: Some previous experience in supported living is useful but it isnt a necessity. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you.Youll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions.
