Job Description

UpholsterersWe are currently recruiting for Sewing Upholsterers to work in Ilkeston, Derbyshire for a leading Caravan and motorhome upholstery company.Working Hours 7am-4pm Monday- Thursday, 7am-12 noon Friday but flexability is requiredImmediate Starts

  • Temp to Perm Opportunities
  • Starting salary is £10 per hour on the basic hours
  • Overtime Available
    • Role of a Upholsterers
  • Using a tacking gun in a safe manor to upholster sofa frames and other caravan products in keeping with the appropriate quality levels.
  • Ensuring that work is produced to any reasonable timescales set by management or supervisors to meet deliveries.
  • Manual handling / Heavy Lifting will be involved
  • Report any issues immediately to the supervisor
  • Assist with any other tasks as required
  • Ensure all aspects of required health and safety protocol are used
  • The successful candidate will be self-motivated, capable of working to tight deadlines and be able to work effectively as part of a small team.A high degree of flexibility will also be required in order to carry out any other duties within the department in order to ensure the smooth running of production.Due to the nature of the role some heavy lifting and manual handling will be required.
