Job Description

1st - 2nd Line Support Analyst / System Administrator / O365 / VMware / Windows Server / Exchange Server / Active Directory / VEEAM / Antivirus / Sophos encryption / Gamma / Ubiquiti / CiscoVITS are a managed services provider, specialising in virtual private cloud solutions and Hybrid solutions. We also provide internet connectivity, telephony and remote / on-site support to our client base who have offices around the world. As a 1st/2nd Line IT Support Analyst, you will join an enthusiastic and vibrant team of other Support Analysts, System Administrators and the IT Director based in SW London (district Line). You will be working in a busy, fast-paced support environment and will be handling support requests as they arrive as well as contributing to larger projects. You will also be involved with ordering of IT equipment based upon user requirements and provisioning this equipment accordingly.In order to be suitable for this position you must have proven experience working in a 1st - 2nd Line Support Analyst / System Administrator or similar role covering desktop, server, application support and administration. Applicants who have obtained industry standard certifications such as Microsoft MCSA or Cisco CCNA will be highly desirable. This is a great opportunity for the right person to grow their technical/customer facing skills. You will also be required to travel to customer sites within London and overseas when necessary.About the role:

  • You will be providing support to our clients both on-site and remotely so require a professional and friendly manner
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues on your own and as part of the team Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by your line manager
  • We have a wide variety of clients in different industries, so you will be facing different issues and learning about a broad spectrum of IT software and hardware
  • Essential:
  • Confident, clear and professional telephone manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving, time management akills and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent customer facing and interpersonal skills
  • Good team player and keen to improve overall team effectiveness and performance with a positive attitude
  • Strong Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on Windows / OSX client machines
  • Ability to resolve issues with common pieces of software e.g. mail clients, Office Suites
  • At least 2 years prior experience in a similar role
  • Experience using ITIL service desk software to manage support workloads
  • Experience managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies
  • Thorough approach to maintaining documentation as and when required
  • Basic understanding of networking (subnetting, DHCP, firewalls, VPN)
  • Experience using Office 365 services
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting printers
  • Experience supporting VC solutions (Skype, Teams, Zoom, WebEx)
  • Advantageous:
  • Degree-level qualification and / or Microsoft Certified e.g. MCDST
  • Basic management and troubleshooting of on-premise Exchange installations
  • Knowledge of Ubiquity devices including WiFi, Switch & CCTV solutions
  • Knowledge of Panda Antivirus - AD360
  • Gamma/Horizon VOIP phone solution
  • Knowledge of Sophos hard drive encryption
  • Knowledge of VEEAM Backup or similar advantageous
  • Knowledge of hardware and software procurement
  • Some understanding of SLA’s/contracts and liaising/negotiating with suppliers
  • Knowledge of Gamma service offerings and administration
  • Experience in an ITIL helpdesk environment
  • Experience using RMM tools -training provided
  • Experience managing virtual machines on VMWare and Hyper-V
  • Experience working within an MSP
