Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are working with a major Manufacturer based in Pudsey in the search for an experienced Buyer. My client is a leading European manufacturer and global supplier experiencing a period of year-on-year rapid growth My client is looking for an experienced Buyer, preferably with experience of operating within a wholesalers or mechanical industry. The successful candidate will be confident in their negotiating skills with global suppliers and have a desire to assess, andstay on top, of market changes. As an integral part of the Supply Chain function, you will influence the business through diligent sourcing, effective supply chain management and clear communication with internal, and external, stakeholders.Key duties and responsibilities will include: * Purchasing products and services to an annual spend of £2.5 million * Global sourcing of new suppliers and supply chain management* Product and market analysis to ensure competitiveness* Identifying and delivering cost saving projects through negotiations and other means* Analysis and reporting on supplier performance* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met.Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates who have the following skills and experiences: * At least 3 years experience within procurement - ideally within manufacturing or engineering sectors* Effective negotiation skills with global suppliers* Effective communication and interpersonal skills* Excellent Microsoft Excel skills Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain is a specialist division of Elevation Recruitment focusing on engineering, operational and technical positions in Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
