Care Support Worker - Female OnlyLocation: Preston, Hull, HU12 8TPSalary: £10 per hourContract: Part time, 21 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday and FridayWe are Matthews Enterprise Trust, a charity as part of the Avocet Trust Group and we are recruiting. We provide Specialist Day Services for vulnerable adults, including people on the Autistic Spectrum.Our aim is to empower our students to maximize their abilities and personal skills to enable them to become as independent as possible. This is achieved by developing both social and daily living skills as well as employment skills through educational andtraining programs, as well as undertaking practical work experience in areas of their choice.We have six and a half acres of land on the Preston site with a large greenhouse and animal enclosures where everyone can join in the fun to help grow their own food and look after the animals. We also provide a range of practical work training experiencessuch as woodwork, metalwork, rural crafts and metal working skills!We also offer our pupils ASDAN educational programs as well as a comprehensive range of in-house training programs such as first aid and food hygiene, together with support to access other accredited programs such as NVQs.We are currently recruiting for a Female Only Care Support Worker to provide1:1 support to one of our students.You will be responsible for the following:

• Supporting our student outside in all weathers.
• Supporting our student to work with animals, including cleaning the animals out and feeding them.
• Working in the glass houses and you may be required, as necessary, to operate machinery such as small tractors and lawn mowers.
• You may also be required to undertake art projects with our student, and take part in caf activities including cookery.

In order to be successful in this role you should have:

• A full driving license.
• Experience of Makaton or BSL would be a distinct advantage.
