Job Description

Laboratory TechnicianPowysUp to £21,000PA (experience dependant)World leading manufacturer of electronics systems working across a broad range of sectors has an open requirement for a Lab Technician to join their busy team at their Powys site. The clients systems have been used in Medical Devices, Aerospace, Space Systemsand Telecoms on internationally recognised projects. This exciting role is an immediate need and the client is looking to take on the right candidate now.You will be required to take control and ownership of the day to day testing to ensure the customers specification is met and manufacturing is carried out correctly in line with agreed procedures. You will ideally have experience of working within a lean manufacturing environment with complex electronics, specifically PCBs. Working hours are 39 per week 0800 until 1700 with an early finish on Fridays.Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing of manufactured components to measure specific features and key details.
  • Mechanical testing in line with IPC requirements and logging results.
  • Comparison of manufactured items to customer specifications
  • Reporting anomalies
  • Improving manufacturing process, efficiency and capability
Key Experience
  • Graduate with Chemistry degree OR 5 years experience in a lab environment
  • Strong PC literacy and familiarity with MS Office
