Job Description

Youll be researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing. Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings. Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and qualify new sales leads based on specific industries, sectors and companies using traditional and more innovative methods
  • Schedule meetings and presentations with prospects, using gap selling techniques to understand how our products align to their needs
  • Track all sales activities in company CRM system and keep current by updating account and contact information regularly
  • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers
  • Communicate prospect and customer product pain points to appropriate departments
  • Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects
  • Meet and/or exceed individual KPIs and targets
  • Working in a collaborative team of 4-8 professionals to exceed team targets
  • Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort
  • Collaborate with Line Manager and VP, Sales on prospect and pipeline management
Business Development Manager Requirements:
  • A background in sales, business to business is preferred.
  • Proven ability to continually close sales and upsells.
  • Confident and outgoing personality.
  • Ambitious and selfdisciplined.
  • Good time management.
  • Excellent Telephone Sales and Customer Service.
  • Able to handle rejection.
  • Confident to travel globally.
Desirable:
  • A background in Events Industry.
  • B2B / B2C Sales.
