We are currently recruiting for a business based in Powys who are looking for a Buyer to join the team. Responsibilities - Raising Purchase orders - Manage day to day purchasing operations - Run tenders, evaluate bids and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors - Analise existing purchasing process for performance - Manage the purchasing process including the buying, selling and distribution aspects of the company. - Handle contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers - Attend weekly management meeting. - Managing suppliers and contractors including renewal of contracts and negotiation of price changes - Contract and performance management including SLA (Service Level Agreements) - Dealing with freight transportation of goods; Sea, Air, Rail & Road across UK & Europe - Developing and maintaining supplier and key stakeholder relationships - Renegotiate contracts in place or agreements due for renewal - Deal with invoice queries/order chases - Reporting to management on achievement against cost saving targets Must have previous buying experience
