Job Description

Role - Deputy ManagerLocationTy Galan, Porth Salary£24,000.00 per annum Are you looking to build a rewarding career in social care where you can make a difference to childrens lives We are looking for a Deputy Managerto work in ourChildrens Residential Home based in Porth. As a Deputy Manager you will be supporting Home Managerin leading the care team, helping them to deliver highest standards across the company.A day in the life of a Deputy Manager with Orbis Education and Care Involves:

  • Improving the quality of life of the individuals in the home by embedding the Positive Behaviour Support framework and active support model in the home.
  • Supporting the Home Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory framework
  • Ensuring all Company policies, procedures and practices are implemented consistently.
  • Supporting The Home Manager in developing a culture that drives quality and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrating an awareness of Ty Galan Quality of Care report and the home improvement plan.
  • Participating in the Companies Out of hours service
To be a successful Deputy Manager with Orbis Education and Care, youll need:
  • QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care for children and Young People
  • QCF level 5 or working towards it
  • At least two years of experience in supporting people with learning disabilities or ASC and Challenging behaviours
  • Knowledge of GDPR and responsible for ensuring the confidentiality of the individuals and staff.
  • Knowledge of RISCA and ensure inspection documentation and records comply with operational standards and statutory regulations and guidance.
  • Have a good understanding of the Positive behaviour support framework and the active support model as this underpins the way in which Orbis Educations & Care supports all the individuals living in the home.
In return for your Skills and Expertise, youll receive:
  • An annual salary of £24,000.00 based on 37,5 hours per week;
