Job Description

Childrens Home Manager (Adoption leave cover)Location: Ty Galan, PorthSalary: £32,500.00 per annum Full time: 37,5 hours per week, Temporary contract (12 months)We have an exciting opportunity for a Childrens Home Manager for our residential homes based in Porth.The Childrens Home Manager is responsible for the overall management of a specialist childrens home, accountable for all resources and budgets, ensuringcompliance with the regulatory framework to deliver positive outcomes of care and high levels of employee advocacy, and promoting a positive high performing culture to ensure your home is viewed as a great place to work.A day in the life of a Childrens Home Manager with Orbis Education and Care Involves:

  • Ensuring the highest quality of service is provided to the service users in your care through promoting a culture that seamlessly aligns to the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework.
  • Delivering a home environment that puts the wellbeing and quality of life of the people we support at the heart of everything you do, through embracing a person-centred planning approach and championing other new approaches as appropriate.
  • Proactively managing your home in relation to risk and regulation performance.
  • Working with the referrals team, ensuring all referrals are converted to admissions in conjunction with finding the appropriate care solution for each person we support.
  • Ensuring all company policies, procedures and practices are implemented and adhered to consistently in your home.
  • Creating a culture in your home that drives quality and continuous improvement.
To be a successful Childrens Home Manager with Orbis Education and Care, youll need:
  • QCF level 5 in Health And Social Care for Children and Young People or working towards it;
  • Safeguarding Processes;
  • Health and Safety Legislation;
  • RISCA;
  • Solid knowledge of organisational compliance with legislation, regulatory requirementsand best practice;
  • A proven track record in managing complex projects from start to finish.
In return for your Skills and Expertise, youll receive:
  • A salary of £32,500.00 per annum, based on 37,5 hours per week;
