We are currently recruiting for an industrial furnace operator for a temp - perm role for an established specialist company based at their Port Talbot facility.Suitable candidates will have gained experience and skills working in an industrial manufacturing environment such as a steelworks or foundry.Experience of the following would be advantageous:* Using metal analysis equipment.* Preparing and repairing furnace lining.* Operating overhead cranes.* Driving a fork truck.* Melting metals.* Operating machinery Analysing and inputting data.An operator training programme is in place. The period of training will vary depending on previous experience, normally 3 to 6 months.These are full-time permanent positions - subject to successful completion of the probationary period.Benefits include:* 39hr/week - working two/three shifts, mornings, afternoons and nights.* 25 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays.* Contributory pension scheme and health insurance after a qualifying period.The starting rate is £9.88 increasing to £11.10 once training has been completed.You will be required to work days and afternoons (additional 12.5% shift allowance) and nights (additional 30% shift premium).If you are looking for an exciting new opportunity with a company who are enjoying business growth, and fit the above criteria, please apply with an up to date CV.
