Job Description

As the Supply Chain Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing orders from point of sale to aftercare. You will be part of a strong customer service team working to make sure the order process runs smoothly by liaising with internal departments as wellas the customer.Client DetailsPage Group is proud to have partnered with an industry-leading manufacturing company with a large UK presence. As a result of continued growth and an increase in market share, our client is looking to expand its supply chain and customer service operation.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the Port Talbot based Supply Chain Planner will exclude:

  • Providing a short-term constrained monthly supply plan, supporting the Factory Schedulers to ensure customer requirements are met whilst maximizing site efficiency.
  • Responsible for owning the overall quality of the plan to deliver business targets, working in collaboration with Manufacturing and site scheduling across the planning periods
  • Focusing on Inventory to ensure that there is enough stock in all sites
  • Provide procurement and purchasing with a clear MRP plan to ensure all raw materials and packaging can be purchased in time to meet the demand plan.
  • Collate and review relevant Supply Planning reports and KPIs that identify any issues and opportunities that meet or improve performance targets.
  • Communicate outputs from the Supply Plan
  • Report on performance against the agreed KPIs.
  • Assist in any part of the business as and when required, within the scope of existing experience, knowledge, and/or competence.
ProfileTo become the next Supply Chain Planner for this Port Talbot based manufacturing organisation you will have/be:
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Previous customer resolution experience
  • Experience in ERP systems (advantageous)
  • From a manufacturing/production background (advantageous)
  • Good administrative experience
  • Be a team player
  • Used to working with numerous departments within an organisation
  • Great multitasking skills
  • Positive attitude towards change
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • A desire to progress within the role and company
  • Great customer services skills i.e listening, empathy, and persuasion
  • Strong ability to problem solve
