Electrical EngineerPort TalbotVariety of shift patterns availableSalary : £34,197 - £44,254 + BenefitsHawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking to recruit an Electrical Engineer for our client, a specialist manufacturer in the heavy industry sector. You will be working for one of the worlds largest manufacturing businesses, with approximately 80,000 employees.Sustainability being at its core, dedicated to managing operations responsibly and to continuously improving performance.The RoleWe are looking for you to support the Area Engineering Managers in effectively maintaining all process and auxiliary equipment within the business units, with an aim to improving up time while reducing costs. As an Electrical Engineer, you will also providepractical and technical support within your area of expertise by performing necessary breakdown repairs, leading preventative maintenance activity and facilitating the promotion of plant and process improvements.The CandidateAs an Electrical Engineer, youll hold solid experience in fast paced heavy industrial manufacturing activities. You will be qualified to a minimum HNC and ideally HND/Degree level. Youll hold a demonstrable background of an electrical engineering discipline,continuous improvement processes, preventative maintenance techniques, planning and implementing maintenance stops, reacting to faults & breakdowns and dealing with contractors.As part of the role, you will showcase good working knowledge and experience in:

  • AC & DC electrical drives
  • Electrical power distribution networks up to 11kV
  • PLCs, (fault finding and programming)
  • Electrical fault finding and repair
  • Reading circuitry schematics
  • 18th Edition wiring regs
We require applicants to have the ability to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and be computer literate.
