Job Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of Tata Steels Port Talbot team for an Electrical engineer.Client DetailsTata Steel Port Talbot are a critical area of Tata Steel in the UK, they are on a journey. A journey creating exciting products that support our customers growth in an area thats receiving millions of pounds of investment whilst bringing new technologyto the forefront.DescriptionThe responsibilites are-

  • Support the Area Engineering Managers in effectively maintaining all process and auxiliary equipment within the business units at Port Talbot Steelworks, with an aim to improving up time while reducing costs
  • Provide practical and technical support within your area of expertise by performing necessary breakdown repairs, leading preventative maintenance activity and facilitating the promotion of plant and process improvements
ProfileThe successful candidate will have-
  • As part of the role, you will showcase good working knowledge and experience in:
  • AC & DC electrical drives
  • Electrical power distribution networks up to 11kV
  • PLCs, (fault finding and programming)
  • Electrical fault finding and repair
  • Reading circuitry schematics
  • 18th Edition wiring regs
