Job Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your prime responsibility will be to assist with the day-to-day finance and customer service functions of the business. You will also be required to actively engage in the development of the team as a whole.Client DetailsReliable supplier and top quality manufacturing company.   • Contribute to timely production of month-end financial results and reports including key business metrics
  • Assist with data production for audits
  • Assist in production of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Manage customer reporting processes and prepare sales reporting for the business and customers
  • Support reporting function to division, group and external stakeholders
  • Post journals and assist with accruals and prepayments reconciliations
  • Report on Fixed Overheads and analyse expenditure
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Assist Management Accountant with the Import and Export Process
  • Maintenance of main customer account dealing with queries and monthly statements
  • Annual preparation of Valpak report
  • Weekly stock level reports for internal use
  • Report as necessary on changes in standards (internally and externally initiated)
  • Assist in implementation and maintenance of Financial, ERP and payroll systems to measure performance against established standards.
  • Any other ad hoc tasks as required by the site senior management team
    • Profile
  • Formal Accounting Qualification, e.g. working towards ACCA / CIMA or similar
  • Previous knowledge of SAP (not essential but advantageous)
  • Able to identify problems and potential solutions
