Job Description

The purpose of this role is to manage all procurement contract activities in conjunction with technical team including contract construct, negotiation, implementation, on-going monitoring of performance against defined targets of performance, cost, deliveryand exit strategy whilst adhering to procurement policies and procedures.Client DetailsA well-established businessDescription

  • Manage the procurement of all requirements for allocated contractor(s) as per the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the release of clear specifications/SOWs including clear quality and delivery requirements to support project delivery.
  • Developing and agreeing the procurement strategies for assigned category/contracts and responsibility for the delivery of procurement plans to quality, cost, and schedule requirements
  • Responsible for executing compliant procurement procedures and guiding multi-functional internal teams through the evaluation process including scoring moderation (including the setting of Selection and Award criteria including weightings etc)
  • Creates, executes, and manages various contract types
  • Produces reports, recommendation reports and other written documents for management review
  • Conduct contractor on-site meetings as and when required in conjunction with other stakeholders
  • Manage supplier performance to cost, delivery/schedule, and quality, technical and contractual requirements.
  • Report cost savings through negotiations to ensure that we are providing our customers with best value.
  • Grow and develop supplier relationships to ensure continued or improved performance levels are achieved.
  • Contract administration including review and processing of invoices
  • Support Supplier Relationship Management and the development of Relationship Management Plans.
Profile
  • Experienced in tendering via Public Contract Scotland (PCS) portal and the Public Contract Regulations 2015
  • In-depth experience in Supply Chain with specific focus on contract management
  • An understanding of and demonstrable experience with project management principles
  • Financial management experience of complex contracts.
  • Experienced in guiding multi-functional teams through the procurement process to ensure compliance
  • Related degree/MCIPS/BA/MBA or equivalent
  • Experienced in negotiating medium/high complexity non-standard agreements
  • Cross functional project experience (Project, Finance, Engineering, Quality, SCM)
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrable risk and opportunity management experience
  • Contract management negotiation experience and performance analysis skill set
