Venesky-Browns client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow/Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Policy Officer for an initial 12-month contract on a rate of £300-£350/day (inside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this role will be remote based for the foreseeable future.Responsibilities:·Support the organisations contribution to transpose Directive 2018/844/EU into secondary legislation relating to EV-enabled buildings.·Engage with Building Standards Division and wider teams of the organisation through regular project meetings.·Develop, coordinate and maintain a project plan and risk register, feeding into wider LCED governance/oversight processes. ·Contribute to the delivery of a public consultation with Building Standards Division, engaging key stakeholders, coordinating workshops, collating and analysing responses.·Engage with Legal colleagues and Legislation Unit to understand requirements and ensure appropriate systems are updated. . ·Understand and take forward impact assessment requirements and engaging sources of expertise as appropriate. ·Provide clear advice and respond to correspondence, PQs etcEssential Skills:·Experience of working across boundaries and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver complex policy work. ·Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret and analyse diverse sources of often complex information at pace and use this in policy development. ·Experience of producing or contributing to the production high quality written advice and analysis.·Planning and organisation skills, including proven ability to manage a range of competing priorities and tasks and to respond flexibly to new demands.If you would like to hear more about this opportunity, please get in touch.
