Title: AccountantContract length: 6 month contractpotential to extendPay rate: £200-£300/day (inside of IR35)Location: Glasgow Advert Text:Venesky-Browns client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit an Accountant for an initial 6 month contractwith the potential to extendon a rate of £200-£300/day (inside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances thisrole will be remote based for the foreseeable future.Responsibilities:- To act as senior finance liaison in reconciling and reporting the impact on budget and forecasting following the conclusion of each reconciliation. This will involve generating suitable reports from payment systems and other sources on impact of each 12 weeklyreconciliation, including ensuring that any over/under payments to clients are correctly calculated and paid or received per the requirements of the Service Contracts.- To work closely with third party accountancy firm ensuring the accuracy and integrity of information reported for use by the organisation. - To accurately report and explain any variances from the budget and identify key financial risks therein. This to be undertaken on an on-going basis. - Apply current technical accounting developments in robustly challenging clients on the acceptability of each reconciliation submission and the type and level of evidence required to support operator submissions. Some experience in forensic accounting andor audit would be advantageous.- To robustly manage a range of challenging stakeholders.- To contribute relevant information from the reconciliation process to the drafting of briefings and submissions prescriptive to a range of audiences and often at short notice. - To undertake any other complex accounting tasks arising from the process and as directed.Essential Skills:- Qualified CCAB accountant- Extensive reconciliation experience- Stakeholder management experience- Some experience in forensic accounting and/or audit would be advantageous If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
