Venesky-Browns client, a public sector organisation inGlasgow, are currently looking to recruit a Governance Assurance Support Manager for a 3 month contract (with potential 18 month extension) on market rates (inside of IR35).The Role:The post-holder will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of projects, policies and services for our Client. Reporting to the Governance & Assurance Manager, this role will support governance functions and provide assurance to the Head of Delivery on all projects in the portfolio. More specifically you will assist in the management of the process of ensuring compliance with project execution plans and delivery strategies, and co-ordinate information to feed into existing lessons learnt and risk/opportunity management processes. There will also be a requirement to provide advice to senior officials and undertake the secretariat function for project or programme boards along with co-ordinating any gateway reviews.• Promote the management and delivery of governance and assurance for all projects. • Support the maintenance of project risk and opportunity registers, ensuring they are regularly reviewed, revised and updated under advice to the Governance & Assurance Manager. • Support the Governance & Assurance Manager in the delivery of high quality audit and assurance services.• Provide the secretariat function of the Pipeline Programme Board, the Continuous Improvement Group and assist in the delivery of secretariat for the Portfolio Board.• Facilitate and co-ordinate the provision of information to Gateway and other reviews of projects.• You will assist in the collation of projects lessons learnt, including analysis and reporting. • Work with colleagues to ensure that appropriate communications and other material are produced on time.• You will assist in the preparation of routine reports for internal project management as requested by the Governance & Assurance Manager.• You will provide contributions, as required, to Communication colleagues to support the drafting of accurate and well-informed briefings, Ministerial Correspondence and PQ responses.Requirements: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.• Ability to analyse information, determine improvements in processes and to provide documents in a variety of formats.• Proven planning and organisational skills, including the ability to balance competing demands.• Knowledge or experience of risk management.If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
