Venesky-Browns client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, are currently looking to recruit a Financial Analyst for an initial 7-month contract on a rate of c.£300/day (inside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this role will initially be remote based.Responsibilities:·Analyse and interpret vehicle fleet information in line with Programme for Government ambitions. Utilise information from reports and industry to create scaled Total cost of ownership models·Utilise the analysis of fleet information to identify opportunities for cost savings·Capture and report back on emissions data, including scoping the emissions reductions opportunities and value·Create meaningful and robust financial assumptions for fleet replacement, including modelling for different scenarios (leasing and purchase) and for infrastructure.·Provide an accurate financial forecast of costs for fleet decarbonisation. ·Understand the relationship between organisations Finance, Sponsor teams and Public bodies to ensure that financial forecasts are understood and to test assumptions.·Understanding of the budget process and Low Carbon funding·Produce detailed reports outlining recommendations and costs relating to decarbonisation of public sector fleets, including synopses of modelling assumptions and real-world case studies. Essential Skills & Experience:·Working with stakeholders to gather qualitative and /or quantitative, full data sets for analysis and use·Understanding of Scottish Government financial processes·Developing financial forecasts, models and mapping expenditure·Analysing data and creating robust information and recommendations to drive value·Excellent communication skills·Data Analysis·Report writing·Presenting information·Data analysis, scenario planning and modelling.·Financial modelling and reporting.·Creating and implementing value propositions.·Proficient use of Microsoft Office software·Strong finance and accounting knowledgeIf you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
