Venesky-Browns client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, are currently looking to recruit a Delivery Project Manager for an initial 3-4 month contract on a rate of c.£450-500/day (inside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this role will initially be remote based.Responsibilities:• The post holder will be responsible supporting the team in the implementation of a new platform and associated services, including a migration from the existing system whilst maintaining a business as usual national concessionary travel scheme. • Working with the supplier and our clients delivery partners to plan the overall project and monitor progress to make sure that milestones are being met across the various elements.• Managing the risks and issues that might and do arise over the course of the project life cycle, as well as take measures to correct them when they occur.• Coordination of the project strands and their interdependencies.• To understand, engage and work with our digital assurance and ICIO teams.• Management and use of resources.• Management of stakeholders who are involved in the project.• Ensuring the deliverables are aligned across the project.• Preparation and development of general project documents, use cases, risk management. • Lead and contribute to internal and external communications as required.Essential Skills:• A highly experienced and competent project manager, who has a demonstrable track record of successfully delivering and supporting projects.• Experience of successfully leading transport-related projects to achieve desired outcomes, preferably at a regional/national government level.• A leader who is strong on governance, who leads my example and ensures protocols are adhered to and high standards are maintained.• Experienced in people/team leadership; experienced in setting up and tracking project commercials and finances.• Ability to operate and engage effectively at all levels. • Brings energy, resilience, ideas and innovations to help achieve the vision and outcomes.• Comfortable working under pressure to tight timelines and budgets.• Experience of managing virtual/ remote working teams, with flexibility to work on-site as required.If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
