Job Description

The Works Supervisor has responsibility for the Workshop Team allocated to him. He is responsible for deploying resources available to him effectively to drive forward the workload to meet delivery dates.Driving the Workshop team ensuring they are aware of priorities and taking input from Management on lessons learnt for application on current and future work scopes;Maintaining close communication with Management on any unforeseen problems which should arise;Ensuring effective use of manpower and equipment deployed on projects;Ensuring additional work scopes are correctly captured and highlighted to Management and contribute to identifying opportunities for additional work;Championing company HSE and quality systems and ensuring compliance; providing positive input and feedback on areas where improvement is possible;Ensuring maintenance function is aware workshop forward load and that they highlight any plant or equipment risks to achieving such.Having and awareness Workshop forward load to identify area needed for lay down and storage effectively;Liaising with Facilities Management to ensure they are aware of support required in terms of site movements; facility utilization and amenities required;Instilling company standards and expectations into the workshop team and ensuring supervision also adopt the same approach;Initiating disciplinary procedure where required with the support of senior managementIdentifying training needs for the Workshop Team based on competencies needed and highlighting to senior management.
