What Were Looking Specifically For:

Experience: Previous experience working with children in a school or education-based setting is essential and very important to be successful in this role.
Specialised Skills: Experience supporting children with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
Compassion: A compassionate and understanding approach to supporting children with complex needs, recognising their individual strengths and challenges.
Collaboration: Ability to work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans.
Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the child and school environment, always ensuring effective support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated one-on-one support to a child with SEMH needs, implementing personalised behaviour management strategies and interventions.
Foster a positive and nurturing relationship with the child, offering emotional support, guidance, and encouragement.
Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement individualised support plans, ensuring the childs needs are met effectively.
Monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of support strategies, making adjustments as necessary to facilitate the childs growth and success.
